Hello, my name is Bekir Saglam. I am 18 years old and I am from Turkey.
I am studying the BTEC First in Information and Creative Technology (NQF) at Lewisham Southwark College. The college is in London.
I am creating this digital portfolio because I want to gain employment in the future and to give employers a taste of my skills and what I have to offer.
What you will find in my portfolio is information about the course I have been studying, the qualifications I achieved and you will see examples of my work. Some of the things you will see will be my CV, and examples of assignment work I’ve done.
For example, the units I am studying this year are Database Development, Spreadsheet, Computer networks, website Development and Creating Digital Video and Graphics. You will be able to see some of my work for each of these units which I hope will show you what I can do!
I speak 2 languages. My first language is Turkish and the second language is English. This might be useful for employees if there are going to Turkey for special business meetings as I can be useful for them as a translator.
I have an interest in computing and I enjoy playing games online. I really enjoy games such as Grand Theft Auto 5, Fifa 16 and Call of Duty. I like to keep fit and have recently joined the gym. I try to incorporate this into my everyday lifestyle. I believe that a healthy body also plays a vital part in to having a healthy mind and mind-set.
